Caring too much about what other people think


This is one of the most common issues when lacking self-confidence. Imagine it this way: If you were walking past someone who accidentally fell on the ground, would you think of them as someone who is utterly stupid and needs walking lessons? No, you would propably stare at them thinking that such accidents happen all the time.

This also works in bigger scales.

While there may be critics, what you should do is not be offended by them, but learn from their perspective by taking out things that can help you on your journey.

Same as with caring too much, self-deprication thoughts have negative impact on your mind, therefore confidence as well. It is scientifically known that people with higher confidence try not to bother themselves with negative thinking. Instead, they take pride in smaller accomplishments. After all, the journey is the most important part of achieving anything.


 

Social media comparism


Social media itself is a huge influencer, with the assistence of its influencers. Many find themselves in the state of constant comparism with others, usually resulting in feeling useless and worthless.

There cannot be good without bad.

It is true, balance has to be maintained. And this is what you need to remind yourself when feeling down and comparing yourself with others.


 

Blaming yourself


With the influence of social media, people often find a way to blame themselves from that point on. As there may be many mistakes you make thorughout your journey, always remember to learn from it and not get too distracted by the consequences. People best learn from their mistakes, which is why you are not in the position to blame yourself.


 


Thinking lower of yourself


Lowering your standars of yourself has a negative effect on you overall confidence. Why so? As you do this, you limit yourself to doing and saying things you think you can do and say. In the end, it will result in you being in or below your comfort zone, from where there is no chance of achieving anything. You need to raise your standars, starting with simple things, such as: accepting compliments, talking more, raising your voice when you don't agree with something...

 

Confidence is the key that unlocks the door to your potential and can be considered as an assistant to achieving your dream goals. Not to be mistaken, confidence is not the only thing to keep you working, still it is one thing to care and think about when trying to accomplish your goal.
