Let's be straightforward and discover how you can help Earth as a teenager, because these days, it's not as easily accessible as it may seem to be.
First of all, don't throw leftovers from dinner, chemical agents and even toilet paper into the drain. And why so? All the chemicals and bacteries can easily spread through water, which later on leaves us all with less drinkable water.
Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth, cleaning your face etc. Simply turn it off when it isn't necessary to use.
Recycle, the old classic way to help the globe. You can find bags and many other things made just from the recycled plastic that had been thrown away.
Stopping leaving the light on when you leave a room is as well another alternative to save energy. It's going to take you no more than a second.
When feeling bored on a sunny day, consider taking a walk in nature and pick up some garbage.
Fast-food, fast-fashion is a big NO. If there is a thrift store that sells already worn things, it would be cheaper and more environmentally friendly to buy clothes from such store.
Plant a seed. You may have never done it before, making it a new experience for you. It can be any sort of plant, it still helps.
Cold e-mail politicians or any more known people who have high audience and financial access to help and don't stop until anyone responds.
If needed, make a petition against waste or animal hunting. You can add this petition on social media or reach those famous people with higher voice.
Lastly, take walks or ride a bicycle, use public transport instead of having someone give you a lift. Having a nice amount of steps counts as a bonus.
The most importnat of all would be to raise awareness. You need to know you have a voice, and it can help to encourage many others to help and do the same.
Whether you're a teen or an adult, these are some tips I thought not to be that hard to accomplish. It may seem like useless stuff, whereas it benefits the globe.
By trying and consistently doing these things, one day you will be able to say you helped Earth as a young resident of whatever country you are from.
Resources: Everything I have mentioned above is from my knowledge gained throughout years. It would be very difficult to find out where I came up with all the information.
